Reconnecting

Why does it feel so difficult to connect with God sometimes?

Because fear is a shape-shifting obstacle, always making itself out to be bigger than it is. And because lies hold great sway in our hearts as long as we believe even a small bit of them.

But if we can sidestep fear and rejection for a moment and exist in a space of simple confidence - the middle ground between haughty and forsaken - to presume upon One whose very nature is a mystery...we just might find the other side of living. The kind of living that lights up EVERYTHING.

And if we can do it once we can do it again, and if we can do it multiple times we can establish a pattern in our journey that is cooperative with the benevolent Unknown.
